Isotonic Sodium Chloride Injection

Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, also known as Saline solution, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, aqueous solution of sodium chloride. It is indicated for infusion to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance in patients. This equal concentration preparation has a pH of around 6.5-7.5, and its osmolarity is approximately 290 milliosmoles per liter (mOsm/L).

Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, can be administered intravenously into a vein, or into the subcutaneous tissue. It is commonly used in medical settings for managing dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and various health concerns.

Mannitol Injection, USP 20%, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of mannitol. It is administered intramuscularly to treat dehydration. The solution is hyperosmotic and exerts its effects by drawing fluids from the intracellular read more space into the vascular space.
